ACTIVITY CHECK

Actions have consequences.

You’ll be required to link a minimum of two (2) threads, as well as a brief summary of what your character’s been up to. No comment count required! Regarding summaries, a few lines are perfectly fine! We’re mostly looking for clues in order to adequately track your character’s ambitions/intentions/deeds so that we can 1. dole out suitable consequences/curses/boons/etc (immediately following AC or at random), and 2. observe their evolution until the inevitable end. Will it be Ascension, or annihilation?

We realize that this can be extremely subjective as far as good and evil go, so to keep things simple, we'll have to adjust the consequences based on the character's overall intent. You'll be notified ICly or OOcly as soon as they come into effect (which might not necessarily happen right after AC or every round), depending on the action and what the outcome entails. Examples of consequences include, but are absolutely not limited to: a sojourn in jail, physical transformations, valuable artifacts, a harrowing, a permanent Spark, a power fully restored, a loss of any kind, privileges, information, etc. Consequences may not be doled out every time, but keep in mind that every action leads your character closer to Oblivium regardless, or Ascension. We'll keep track.

Regarding threads, we accept links from TDMs, inboxes, logs, the netherwork, and Soulidarity. You may submit threads from up to two months prior to the current month if you're still tagging them, but you can’t submit the same thread twice.

Subthreads from a top-level or a catch-all log can be used as separate proofs for AC! As for bonuses, we'll be limiting submissions of subthreads to one (1) per round.

Additionally, we simply ask that you don’t exclusively tag inboxes and/or castmates, repeatedly submit network-style comment spam, or drop your threads as soon as you pass AC. If a consistent pattern occurs, we’ll reach out to the player and discuss with them before issuing a warning.

A warning is cleared after you’ve successfully passed AC two months in a row.

If extenuating circumstances prevent you from playing or notifying us in time, a retroactive hiatus will be available to you once every 6 months. Otherwise, to avoid a warning, please notify us at least one week before the end of the month!

Regarding bonuses, which are an optional perk, we accept links from TDMs, inboxes, logs, and the netherwork. Please note that each thread must have at least 8 comments from you, and can’t be threads you’ve submitted for AC. Each bonus thread equals 5 points. You may also submit threads from up to two months prior to the current month if you're still tagging them, but you can’t submit the same thread twice. You can collect your points and spend them whenever you wish, and no more than one reward per round will be granted.

REWARDS

► Trinket = 15 points
► Spark = 25 points
► Artifact = 30 points
► Boon = 40 points

A boon is, essentially, a (reasonable!) wish granted or an item requested from home! A trinket is much lesser than an artifact in power, and would also have to eventually be soul-forged in order to last.

~~Short~~ Summary:

on the topic of soulbonding, steve had a few things to say as he checked into sakura haruno's network post and realized how much he needs to change his perspective on what a soulmate means. he also chimed into rudbeckia deborgia's post about plans and offered a name suggestion that was very rudely internally rejected by rudbeckia, and offered similar opinions on plans and teamwork with naruto uzumaki. he also offered to be ichigo's wingman without quite realizing what he was getting into with grimmjow jaegerjacquez, which included vetting a potential date (kokomi sangonomiya).

things began to take a turn for the worst when steve learned his soulmate, eddie munson, went missing. he took to the network for some advice, learned the (clumsy) art of meditation from ichigo kurosaki, was set on a path to investigate the gallows thanks to grimmjow jaegerjacquez and was also then urged to look quickly for eddie by sasuke uchiha, spurring more urgency in his search. frankly we don't even know what's happening here but steve is admittedly beginning to grow weirdly fond of syo despite himself. go figure.

set wasted no time to check in on steve who by this time is stressed out, worried, and is gearing himself up to go to the gallows after this. but a couple of people manage to offer friendly reassurances (jonas ward) and even directly help him locate his lost soulmate (alina starkov). even in this hellish place, there are still some pretty cool people to be found.

speaking of cool people (???), steve in his desperation went to certified hierarchy a-hole #1 amun expecting no help, and finding that his conversation with him was probably one of the most reassuring ones of all. you know, until he says something like 'yeah so your soulmate isn't possessed. but changed? who knows?' awesome.

during this time, steve's hanahaki symptoms have increased, leaving him pretty sore and in pain, and both good samaritans shalem and aerith gainsborough happens to find steve hunched over a curb looking like garbage. shalem offers him a more useful medicine for his ailments — with no strings attached. and aerith offers him something for his parched and probably torn-up throat.

eventually steve does, in fact, head to the gallows despite his never shedding any blood at the harvest, and finding no signs of eddie, must now make his way back. he runs into toko fukawa whom he mistakes for his ol' buddy syo and they literally flap angry hands at each other, arguing their predicament.

(and elsewhere in timey-wimey land, before eddie's disappearance, the two boys, now roommates, start to fix the place up a bit. this is when eddie munson tells him that their soulbond, which steve had previously believed could maybe be undone? can't. steve low-key spirals and then feels like an asshole for doing so.)
