ACTIVITY CHECK

ACTIVITY CHECK

Actions have consequences.

You’ll be required to link a minimum of two (2) threads, as well as a brief summary of what your character’s been up to. No comment count required! Regarding summaries, a few lines are perfectly fine! We’re mostly looking for clues in order to adequately track your character’s ambitions/intentions/deeds so that we can 1. dole out suitable consequences/curses/boons/etc (immediately following AC or at random), and 2. observe their evolution until the inevitable end. Will it be Ascension, or annihilation?

We realize that this can be extremely subjective as far as good and evil go, so to keep things simple, we'll have to adjust the consequences based on the character's overall intent. You'll be notified ICly or OOcly as soon as they come into effect (which might not necessarily happen right after AC or every round), depending on the action and what the outcome entails. Examples of consequences include, but are absolutely not limited to: a sojourn in jail, physical transformations, valuable artifacts, a harrowing, a permanent Spark, a power fully restored, a loss of any kind, privileges, information, etc. Consequences may not be doled out every time, but keep in mind that every action leads your character closer to Oblivium regardless, or Ascension. We'll keep track.

  • Regarding threads, we accept links from TDMs, inboxes, logs, the netherwork, and Soulidarity. You may submit threads from up to two months prior to the current month if you're still tagging them, but you can’t submit the same thread twice.

  • Subthreads from a top-level or a catch-all log can be used as separate proofs for AC! As for bonuses, we'll be limiting submissions of subthreads to one (1) per round.

  • Additionally, we simply ask that you don’t exclusively tag inboxes and/or castmates, repeatedly submit network-style comment spam, or drop your threads as soon as you pass AC. If a consistent pattern occurs, we’ll reach out to the player and discuss with them before issuing a warning.

  • A warning is cleared after you’ve successfully passed AC two months in a row.

  • If extenuating circumstances prevent you from playing or notifying us in time, a retroactive hiatus will be available to you once every 6 months. Otherwise, to avoid a warning, please notify us at least one week before the end of the month!

  • Regarding bonuses, which are an optional perk, we accept links from TDMs, inboxes, logs, and the netherwork. Please note that each thread must have at least 8 comments from you, and can’t be threads you’ve submitted for AC. Each bonus thread equals 5 points. You may also submit threads from up to two months prior to the current month if you're still tagging them, but you can’t submit the same thread twice. You can collect your points and spend them whenever you wish, and no more than one reward per round will be granted.

  • REWARDS

    ► Trinket = 15 points
    ► Spark = 25 points
    ► Artifact = 30 points
    ► Boon = 40 points

A boon is, essentially, a (reasonable!) wish granted or an item requested from home! A trinket is much lesser than an artifact in power, and would also have to eventually be soul-forged in order to last.

    * you may check-in anytime during the active month, so long as you do so by the last day at 11:59 PM EST. simply follow the example below!

Short Summary: Felix has been having A Time in this horrible little place, thank you very much. In September when he arrived, he accidentally became soulmates with both Dimitri and Sylvain, and refuses to acknowledge either of them about it, despite getting their depression over the link. Seeing Dimitri was especially dramatic—a wave of rage at his apparent forgetfulness, then confusion when it became clear that he was some other version of the Dimitri he knew. Rather than work out any of these issues, he simply walked out. He spent the rest of his time eating rabbits from one quest, hunting, bartering, and collecting berries for another quest, in order to earn enough money for a sort of shitty weapon. He basically lives in the slums in order not to have to pay anything for lodgings. Weapons first!

October brought a celebration, and with it, a lot of happenings. Overall, he's just been coming to grips with the fact that, being dead and all, he doesn't have anything to do anymore, the very life he always claimed to want. So naturally, he's been picking fights with anyone who will have him. On Soulidarity, he sought out people to fight with, and found Cedrik to duel (which became more of a comedy of errors than a fight), and finally roped Sakura into putting 'em up. Otherwise, he's been surly but inquisitive to Claude, generously elysium drunk with Sylvain and Dimitri, and terrorizing women in the corn maze. His shadow has crept in multiple times, spurring him to be more violent, more aggressive—and he has gone with it on several occasions. However, he's also resisted its pull several times, most potently when it comes to his soulmates, and others who have the good grace to call him out on his over the top aggro. Overall, it's been a very successful month, despite his head buzzing like a box of bees from all the new sensations and feelings. Two soulmates and a shadow makes for a compelling disaster, but it's one he's so far been able to manage, perhaps because he's always been tempted in that direction to begin with.

    NOV 2022

Short Summary: In November, Felix moved out of his abandoned hovel digs, and into the basement of a different abandoned (but renovated!) hovel. He was invited there by Joonghyuk with the promise of daily sparring, so he reluctantly agreed. Once there, he was roped into movie night meet-and-greet with the rest of the house. He started some fights, actually got along with other people, and eventually settled in a bit—only for the party to be broken up by the hierarchy, dragging people away to jail.

In jail, he broke out multiple times, once notably in the company of his two stupid accidental soulmates, Dimitri and Sylvain, but also with other acquaintances he's made since coming here. Later on, he hunted a badaliscus with Joel, used weed oil from mirth (a mistake—he never used it again), and experienced the joys of pocket texting.

Overall, he's actually been settling in, despite the kidnapping, beating, branding, and imprisonment. He's mad at the Hierarchy, but is a bit impotent to do anything, since it keeps resulting in getting thrown in jail? For now, at least, he's just going to keep training to get stronger, keep moving forward, keep looking for opportunities, and keep arguing and fighting with people in general, and with Dimitri in specific.

Total amount of points: 65 (DIMITRI'S PLAYER REMINDED ME IT WAS 5 POINTS PER)

Requested reward: Could a boon be used to strengthen an item they received from home in October? 👀 If so I'd like to use a boon...

Thank you!! Incidentally, does this mean the item (a sword) is just back to its normal original strength?
