Where: down a sidestreet off the busiest strip in mirth.
Type: business.
Description: the cairn is a bar that serves strong alcohol and dubious appetizers. its dingy and dimly lit interior incidentally makes it the perfect place to start a fight or hide from one. its main draw, however, is its central pillar, a former observation deck overlooking the round counter bar below. it was built for the building's previous business, an arena for the experimentation and monitoring of spectres. this is a lie perpetuated by its owner, jewel, an antiques thief in life, who needed a remarketing strategy to break even. the gossip about it has made it a popular stop; its patrons are usually daring, uncaring, or exceedingly stupid.
features include (but are not limited to): shitty washrooms with graffitied stall doors; rotating, cheap beers on tap and powerful spirits; gambling machines; and the central loft that can be rented out for get-togethers or other things. people even hock wares inside with permission from jewel, so expect to find all manner of items that may catch your eye.
(definitely not owned by jonas, just a fun little stop in mirth. let me know if this works, i was too tempted by mirth's city aspect.🥳)

Details? It can get dreary around the city sometimes, but the Clown Association is always available to bring cheer! They're currently looking for volunteers to dress up in traditional clown attire and assist their cause.
The clownsuit and makeup will be provided, by volunteers can bring their own. Volunteers will be compensated with 30 coins and the smiles of everyone whose day they brighten.

Additional details: The Clown Association is just one person with a passion for cheer and slapstick comedy. Anyone who steps up to the task can choose from a variety of props: flowers that squirt water, balloons (regular and animal), cream pies, etc.

Details? Esmeralda sells crystals that generate heat, which are popular trinkets to purchase in the colder months. But before she can sell them, they need to be imbued with warmth. The crystals can only be charged when held between the palms of two different people, and she'll pay 10 coins per crystal to anyone willing to help. She'll also let you keep one crystal of your choosing.
Preferable outcome, if applicable?? N/A
Additional details: The only way to charge the crystals to Esmeralda's specifications is by holding hands with another person with the crystal placed between your palms. Be warned! Some of the crystals are finnicky, and will not allow you to let go until they have been sufficiently charged.

Type: Business
Description: Anthanasia's Hortus is a quaint little flower shop that specializes in handmade bouquets for every type of occasion. It's a rather unusual looking shop thanks to all the decorative herbs and flowers at the front. While most would assume a flower shop would be more cheerfully decorated, this one carries a more somber color palette in the forms of dark blues and deep grays. There's plenty of little antiques and oddities scattered about all of which were found in the Barrens. If one looks closely, they might see a few spooky skulls decorated with lovely dark flowers and little charms. There's even a number of old dusty books lining the many wooden shelves, all of them findings from the Barrens.
The shop is a little cramped at best but every bouquet is carefully made and sustained by the proprietor himself. More expensive looking bouquets often cost a little close to 100 coin while the cheaper and frankly more economical bouquets tend to cost roughly around 15 to 20 coin each.

Description: A simple tavern with the intended purpose of providing a location for adventure-minded Restless to gather, learn about available jobs, coordinate joint ventures, relax after a hard day's work, etc. Restless who want to join the guild only need to sign their name on a ledger, agreeing to be contacted by the guild or other adventurers looking for help on their jobs. There are no dues.

Description: Han Sooyoung saw a need in the Netherworld... With otherworldly Restless scattered across the Stygia, what they lack is a sense of community, so forth she set out to renovate an abandoned apartment complex and create a safe haven(?) for her fellow wayward souls. For a low fee, she can provide them a roof over their heads and three quality meals. Perhaps in these walls, bonds everlasting can form.

Details? i'm literally just here to suggest cute mistletoe as a background element in december if it's not something the mods are already planning on! ideally the kissy variant will present but it might be nice to add other variants with different effects (maybe one makes you more cuddly, one makes you more aggressive, one makes your shadow more likely to let loose, etc). obviously all optional so that people who aren't interested can ignore it/handwave it entirely! also happy to spitball more effect ideas if needed.

Details? Memshare! (clenches fist) This isn't mandatory, obviously. People who linger in the same immediate vicinity for longer than a few minutes will experience each other's memories. This can be done as many times as wanted, good or bad memories. Each character will experience the memory together and are aware it has been likewise experienced by the other party. All baggage is on display. I guess it can also happen between more than two people who are in the same room, sure why not.
Preferable outcome, if applicable?? The goal is extreme CR building so characters who will never talk about their problems are now forced to talk about them maybe. The consequences are crashing and burning under the weight of shared trauma, I guess...
Additional details: so many of us are emotionally constipated, we need help

Details? A hedgewitch is looking for pairs or groups of Restless and wishes to hear participants' childhood nightmares as part of a secret ritual. The witch would prefer that those with Soulmates don't use their connection to soothe each other, because she wants the emotions to be as authentic as possible. She'll pay each participant 20 coins for every story, for a total of 5 per person, and give them pouches of sweet-smelling herbs that won't lose their fragrance.

Additional details: Liars get punished... but they won't know until the witch loudly and verbally curses them to have their unspoken childhood nightmare every time they sleep. The only way to break the curse is to divulge the truth. If a Restless admits this to their Soulmate, they'll have a good dream when they next sleep.
