1. The warning pertains to the character it was issued to. Ongoing threads are absolutely fine, we're essentially just looking for a good balance. You could have an ongoing thread for 3 months if you wished, but if you only tag it once or twice every month, it would hardly count as engagement. Does it make sense to you?
2. We haven't issued any warning without double-checking whether there was evidence of what was detailed in the summaries. We do keep an eye out, whether threads are provided. It's entirely possible that we've missed something, however! If that's the case and if proof of engagement is submitted, we'll absolutely revoke the strike.
3. The written quality of a summary doesn't really matter. It's merely a way for both mods and players to be aware of a character's engagement, but as previously mentioned, we DO look for evidence, whether threads are provided. It's a challenging task, and yet one we ultimately decided to adopt after receiving concerns from both players and potential applicants regarding possible squatting. Warnings are usually issued when a character fails to branch out (ie. exclusively tagging a castmate), when most of the evidence from what was detailed in a summary can't be found, or when engagement amounts to a few days or less of active play during a month.
We fully realize the problems and confusion this system might unfortunately cause, especially now that our first AC is over. We'll most likely run a poll ASAP, so all of this is subject to change.
