short summary: aristaeus began his time in the netherworld with a bang, attacking first mavis and then a reaper shortly after waking. mavis, thankfully, decided to do the heroic thing and kept him from being hauled off to the forges where he'd have made the world's most pissy desk lamp.

from there he made the journey to stygia. he encountered the darkling along the way, then nearly drowned (scratching seeing the ocean off his bucket list permanently, thanks) and got to work learning the lay of the land. he connected with a few folk on the solidarity app, including johanna constantine, who he would team up with as they searched for the mourning lantern. along the way, he'd get lost in the forest for a bit and decide to find out what harpy tastes like (surprisingly gamey) and while still largely in denial about the fact that he's dead is somewhat curious about the horseman and general magic of the netherworld.
